The VESL Surfboard is a copy of the Hayden Shapes Hypto Kryto and is probably one of our favorite boards. The Hypto Kryto has been the best selling board in the last couple of years.
Board Dimensions: 6’0″ by 20 1/2 by 2 1/2
Fins: Jordy Smith in a Large.
The Pro: The board paddles really well and fast. Axiom Surf tested the board in southern california where the waves are often times very mushie so this board is really nice to paddle into waves 1 to 5 foot waves. The board has enough volume for any surfer because they the surfboard has a lot of volume in chest to shoulder region. It’s a very durable board due to the EPS build. Great board to have and can be the only short surfboard you need.
The Con: This board doesn’t have the carbon rails so it’s probably not as flexible as the real Hayden Shape Hypto Kryto.
Overall: All and all Axiom Surf would recommend this board for a small to medium size waves and average surfer. It could be your all around one stop shop board cause you can paddle into a variety of waves and accomplish different types of riding from cruising to being a little more aggressive on the wave.
